1.                 Your roommate intends to cheat in the coming examination. You know it is not honest and he or she may be caught on the spot, for there will be several teachers supervising the examination. What do you say to your roommate?

2.                 Your friend/cousin/roommate is driving at the speed of 100 miles per hour on a narrow road down a mountain. You are sitting next to him/her. Express your disapproval.

3.                 Your friend thinks a quartz alarm clock/a stereo music system/digital clock radio/digital camera is the best present for his/her father on the Father's Day. Give your approval or disapproval.

4.                 Your roommate has some annoying habits, such as spending too much time playing cards in the evening/talking loudly in the reading-room, making too much noise in the dorm. Give your disapproval.

5.                 You are longing to take a weekend trip with your friend. The day before you go, your friend calls to tell you that she needs to prepare for an exam in the coming week. You feel disappointed. However, you wish your friend good luck and rearranging for the trip. What would you say?

While you were at work, one of the heels broke off. You were very angry and went back to the shop to complain. But you didn't get your money back, because you didn't have the receipt. How would you complain to the manager of the shop?

5.             Your neighbor has two young children who are very noisy. They scream and shout even at night. You have just had a sleepless night as a result. Go and complain, but don't be aggressive. What would you say?

6.             You lent your digital camera to your classmate but you found damage was done after it was returned to you. Find out what happened to the camera and complain about the damage.

7.             You have paid the money for an air-conditioner in a department store. The department store promised to send the air-conditioner in three days. But one week has passed, and the air-conditioner has not arrived. The weather is very hot. You complain to the manager of the department store. What would you say?
