A:     I hear that your team won last Sunday's football match.

B:     Oh yes, we did 3-1.

A:     Oh, I can't believe it. Congratulations!

B:     Thank you.

A:     A pity I didn't manage to come and see it. I had intended to, you know.

B:     Yes, I know.

A:     It was a good game, wasn't it?

B:     Well, not bad, I think. We were in pretty good form.
